Super MILLION$ Final Table Results (Dec. 8, 2020)
Place | Player | Country | Prize |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Timothy Adams | Canada | $315,158 |
2 | Jans Arends | Austria | $255,485 |
3 | MAMOHT_T | Russia | $207,111 |
4 | Artur Martirosian | Russia | $167,896 |
5 | Alex Papazian | Croatia | $136,106 |
6 | Fabrice Touil | Brazil | $110,335 |
7 | Laurynas Levinskas | Croatia | $89,444 |
8 | Seth Davies | Canada | $72,508 |
9 | Anatoly Filatov | Russia | $58,779 |
The final table lost its first player on the very first hand after the restart. Blinds were 30,000/60,000/7,500a and Seth Davies raised to 136,000 from under the gun with pocket aces. Jans Arends folded but Anatoly Filatov three-bet all-in for 816,519 with pocket queens. Davies called when the action folded back to him. The board ran out safe for Davies’ aces, although Filatov picked up an open-ended straight draw on the turn, and Filatov was gone.

Davies was the next player heading for the exits despite winning those chips. Blinds were now 40,000/80,000/10,000a and the action folded to Adams on the button who raised to 160,000. Davies responded with a three-bet all-in for 1,942,645 from the small blind and Adams called. It was ace-king for Davies and ace-queen for Adams. A queen on the flop was enough to bust Davies in eighth.
Laurynas Levinskas crashed out a couple of hands later. Adams min-raised from middle position but ducked out of the way after Fabrice Touil three-bet all-in from the button with pocket queens and Levinskas pushed all-in with ace-king for a few chips more. Touli’s queens held but Adams would have flopped two pair had he stayed in the hand. Game over for Lithuania’s Levinskas.
Touil's Comeback Ended
Touil’s impressive comeback ended in a sixth-place finish, which bagged the Frenchman the tournament’s first six-figure prize. It was an excellent result considering Touil started the final table with 3.5 big blinds! He was down to less than three big blinds again during the 60,000/120,000/15,000a level and jammed for 290,474 with a pair of kings in the hole. Adams, who was playing super aggressively, called in the small blind with ace-queen. Adams, of course, flopped an ace to reduce the player count by one.
Alex Papazian saw his tournament end abruptly immediately after the second scheduled break. He min-raised to 280,000 from the button before calling off his remaining 1,802,018 chips when Arends shoved from the big blind. It was one of tournament poker’s many coinflips, Arends holding a pair of nines and Papazian Big Slick. Arends flopped a set that improved to a full house on the turn.
Clash Of The Russians
Next to fall was Russian star Artur Martirosian who open-shoved for 12 big blinds with ace-queen from the small blind. Fellow Russian “MAMOHT_T” snap-called in the big blind with pocket queens. The five community cards ran out safe for MAMOHT_T’s queens and Martirosian crashed out.
Heads-up was set when MAMOHT_T committed his last nine big blinds with king-trey and Adams looked him up with jack-ten. MAMOHT_T flopped a king but Adams turned a straight to leave his Russian opponent drawing deas.
That hand gave Adams a 12,179,448 to 5,120,552 chip lead over Arends, meaning he’d led this final table from start to finish.
The final hand saw Arends min-raise to 400,000 from the button with ace-queen and Adams wake up with a pair of queens in the hole and three-bet to 1,180,000. Arends responded with a four-bet shove for 7,166,104 in total, a shove Adams instantly called. A jack-high board provided little in the way of drama and Adams had done it, he’d won the Super MILLION$ at the 24th time of asking. What will Adams win next?
